There is nothing quite like freshly baked cookies straight from the oven. Chocolate crackle cookies are not your average cookie - They are crisp on the outside and soft and brownie like on the inside. These cookies are not only impressive in appearance but also incredibly easy to make.
Preheat oven to 180C. Line 2-3 baking trays with baking powder.
In a medium sized bowl combine flour, cinnamon, baking powder and cocoa powder and sift. Stir through sugar and chocolate chips.
Combine eggs, melted butter and vanilla essence in a small bowl and whisk together. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and combine using a wooden spoon.
Spread icing sugar on a plate and dust hands. Roll 1.5 Tablespoons of mixture into balls and then roll in the icing sugar. Coat well.
Place on the prepared trays ensuring that they are placed apart. Cook for 12-15 minutes or until just cooked through and crackle pattern has appeared. It is important not to over cook.
