Chinese Honey Chicken

This recipe takes me straight back to my childhood. I grew up in regional Victoria and we used to visit Melbourne often. We'd regularly stop off to visit attractions around Crown Casino and we'd always stop into the food court for Honey Chicken. I never realised how easy or delicious is was to make at home. This recipe is better than I remember it.
Can Honey Chicken be Frozen or Reheated?
This recipe reheats really well. I look so forward to the leftovers!! I have not tried freezing it and I am unsure how it would defrost so my recommendation would be enjoying this fresh instead.
What should I serve Honey Chicken with?
Ah so many options go great with this. A couple of my favourites are;
Stir fried vegetables with noodles
Jasmine rice
Fried rice - Find my recipe for the BEST Fried Rice on the blog.
Ingredients
2 Chicken Breasts cut into cubes
1 Cup Plain Gluten Free Flour
1 Cup Corn Flour
2 TSP Baking Powder
Pinch of Salt
1/2 Cup Tomato Sauce
2 TBSP Caster Sugar
3 TBSP Honey
3 TBSP Water
Sesame Seeds
Vegetable or Canola Oil
Method
1. For the Sauce: Combine tomato sauce, caster sugar, honey and water. Mix well and set aside.
2. Mix plain flour, corn flour, salt and baking powder in a large bowl. Add water slowly and stir. Keep adding water until it becomes a semi thick batter.
3. Heat 1 inch deep oil in a pot or wok. Dip chicken in batter and fry in oil until cooked and golden.
4. Pour the sauce from earlier into a fry pan and heat until it starts to bubble, add chicken and stir to coat. I recommend doing this in two lots due to the amount of chicken it creates.
5. Remove chicken from fry pan and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
